It was 'my first' Bulldog Bash at Shakespeare County Raceway and despite having been to SCR countless times, I was overawed with the scale of what the Bulldog Bash is. Over 50,000 people were there and the whole show went like clockwork thanks to the efficient organisation of the promoters. There was on-track action, off-track and every possible spectacle was there to provide entertainment to the paying guests. I was particularly pleased to see the return of a long time hero of mine, Clive Mechaell and his California Kid fuel altered and also Al O'Connor in his wonderful Super Gasser. Ian 'Turbo' Turburville was there with a clutch of other fuel bike racers including Roel Koedam and Ian King.
