The Lotus Formula 1 car that revolutionised F1 technology. The Cosworth DFV V8 engine was first fitted to this car for the Dutch Grand Prix in 1967. It won first time out in the hands of Jimmy Clark, native of the town of Duns in the Scottish borders near Berwick upon Tweed. The DFV engine went on to win over 100 races and to become the back bone of F1 engine technology for years to come. Jim was sadly killed in a Formula 2 race at Hockenheim in 1968.
